Role Overview
TPC is seeking an experienced Building Consultant to perform site inspections, prepare Xactimate-based repair estimates, and support property damage appraisals as a 1099 independent contractor.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and document property damage for insurance-related claims.
- Develop detailed scopes of repair and cost estimates in Xactimate (Level II or III).
- Review competing estimates and assist in claim appraisal or umpire processes.
- Communicate findings and recommendations professionally to clients.
- Manage project documentation and timelines independently.
Qualifications
- 5 years in construction estimating, insurance claims, or building consulting.
- Xactimate Level II or III certification required.
- Strong understanding of building systems and repair costs.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Regional travel required; professional liability insurance required.
