Position Summary:
The Food Service Operations Manager plays a critical role in executing and overseeing food service strategies across our convenience store locations featuring quick service restaurants (QSRs). This position ensures operational excellence, food safety compliance, and alignment with strategic plans developed by the Director of Food Service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, operational acumen, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food service experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Implement food service plans and programs developed by the Director of Food Service across all store locations.
- Support and guide store-level food service teams to ensure consistent execution of QSR operations, training, and customer service standards.
- Track and analyze food service KPIs (sales, waste, labor, customer satisfaction) and recommend improvements.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, company policies, and health department standards.
- Work closely with Store Operations, Training, and Marketing teams to support food service initiatives and promotions.
- Assist in the rollout of new food products, equipment, and vendor partnerships as directed by the Director of Foodservice.
- Identify opportunities to enhance food service operations, streamline processes, and improve profitability.
- Accountability for achieving Food Service P&L targets through regular audits and KPI tracking.
- Collaborate with 3rd Party Food Service Coaches from Culinary Food Service Partner
- Operate and optimize the internal franchise model (food service operating procedures if we choose not to use franchise model), including:
- Hiring and staffing to ensure minimum coverage and training compliance.
- Collaborating on revisions to improve franchise structure and performance.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in food service operations, preferably in convenience retail or QSR.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel to store locations as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with multi-unit operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems and food service technology.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25-50lbs or more.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing and walking.
- Ability to travel to store sites.
