The person who succeeds in this role will serve Dinosaur Valley State Park in being a premier interpretive site for the entire Texas State Park system. If you bring a positive attitude, flexibility, and a desire to serve, we look forward to working with you!Under the direction of the Lead Park Interpreter, this position performs routine (journey-level) state park operations work including interpretation and the preservation of Dinosaur Valley State Park. Promotes conservation and stewardship of natural cultural resources. Responsible for interpreting the geological setting of the park as well as providing information about park history. Conducts interpretive programs, tours, hikes, and special events and promotes outreach programs with schools, libraries, scouts, and other organizations. Assists with maintenance and cleaning of park buildings and grounds, and other park projects. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
