Oversees daily operations of Division field stations, fish hatcheries, programs, services, and personnel that sustain high-quality fishing experiences in Texas public waters, including monitoring of fisheries resources, development of recommended harvest regulations, fish culture and stockings, fish habitat enhancements, angler engagement, and fishing access improvements. Plans and coordinates routine program evaluations and assembles strategies to enhance program effectiveness. Leads, manages, supervises, and motivates a high performing team of geographically dispersed fisheries professionals. Administers budgets that support and sustain the Divisionand#8217;s sport fisheries management, aquatic resources conservation, and fish hatchery functions. Represents the Division on intra- and interagency committees and working groups, and participates in statewide, regional, and national partnerships, associations, and organizations that contribute to the management and conservation of freshwater fisheries resources. Interacts with the Commission, advisory groups, legislature, regulatory agencies, and constituents. Assists in development of the Division budget and strategic plan.
