Unit Details
36-Bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit
Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
Days: 4–5:1
Nights: 5–6:1
Common patient conditions: Chest pain, stroke/TIA, COPD, GI, post-operative, arrhythmias, drips, and accelerated heart rhythms.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, assess, and provide nursing care for patients requiring continuous cardiac telemetry.
Interpret ECGs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Deliver safe, evidence-based care for patients 16 requiring cardiac step-down support.
Apply strong clinical judgment in emergency and high-acuity situations.
Promote patient safety by identifying and mitigating risks.
Collaborate with physicians, team members, and leadership to support high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required
Education: Diploma, ADN, or BSN from an accredited nursing program
Licensure:
Active Missouri RN license or Multistate Compact RN license
Certifications:
BLS required upon hire
ACLS required within 1 year of hire
