Job Description
Overview
Join a high-performing Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Heart Team supporting complex cardiac surgical procedures in a technologically advanced environment. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced cardiovascular surgeons and multidisciplinary teams while building specialized expertise in cardiac surgery.

Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiovascular surgical procedures
Scrub and assist during cardiac surgeries in accordance with AORN and AST standards
Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure appropriate instruments and supplies are available
Operate sterilization equipment and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments
Assist with case cart preparation, room turnover, and supply management
Update surgeon preference cards and support inventory control processes
Participate in on-call rotation as required
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
Required
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military equivalent
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of surgical technologist experience
Preferred
Experience in cardiovascular or CVOR surgical settings
Strong understanding of cardiac instrumentation and procedures
