Hourly Pay Range: $32.00 – $48.00 (based on experience)
Shift Differential: $4.25 nights
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Days) | $15,000 (Nights)

Overview

A leading acute care hospital in North Central Florida is seeking experienced Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurses (CVICU RNs) to support a high-acuity critical care environment.

This role focuses on caring for complex cardiovascular and post-operative ICU patients, including those requiring ventilatory support, vasoactive drips, and continuous cardiac monitoring. The CVICU offers a collaborative, team-based culture with strong clinical leadership and a focus on advanced cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill cardiovascular ICU patients

• Perform advanced hemodynamic assessments and continuous cardiac monitoring

• Manage ventilated patients, vasoactive infusions, and complex medication regimens

• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams

• Serve as a patient and family advocate, ensuring privacy, safety, and education

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, procedures, and recovery plans

• Identify and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice

Required:

• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact RN license

• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience

  • Will consider 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience

• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of start

• ACLS (AHA) within 90 days of start

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred:

• CVICU, cardiac ICU, or cardiothoracic ICU experience

• BSN
