Role Description The Escrow Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Prosper, TX, responsible for managing all aspects of residential real estate closings from opening to funding and post-closing. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing closing documents, coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate agents, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role involves balancing and disbursing funds, handling escrow accounts, recording documents, and maintaining accurate files and records. The Escrow Officer will also provide clear, professional communication to all parties, resolve issues that arise during transactions, and deliver a high level of customer service at the closing table. Collaboration with internal team members to improve processes and support agency goals is expected.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in escrow and closings, including managing residential real estate transactions from initiation through funding.
  • Active Notary skills and familiarity with notarizing real estate and closing documents in compliance with state regulations.
  • Strong customer service capabilities, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build trust with clients and partners.
  • Knowledge of residential real estate practices, title and settlement procedures, and related legal and compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience as an Escrow Officer or in a similar title/settlement role preferred; local DFW market experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with title, escrow, and closing software, along with solid general computer skills (e.g., email, document management, spreadsheets).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple files and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities, with sound judgment and integrity in handling funds and sensitive information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications in real estate, title, or escrow are beneficial.
