What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escrow Officer position at Neighborhood Title of Texas?
Company Description
Neighborhood Title of Texas LLC is a growing, relationship-driven title company built on transparency, communication, and white-glove service. We partner closely with real estate agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers to create a smooth, informed, and positive closing experience from contract to funding.
As a smaller, locally owned company, we are looking for the right people to grow with us, team members who value integrity, responsiveness, strong client relationships, and a client-first closing experience. We are not looking to simply fill a seat. We are looking for an experienced escrow officer who wants to be part of building something meaningful and help grow the Neighborhood Title brand throughout Collin County.
Neighborhood Title of Texas is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer with an established book of business to join our team in or around Plano, TX. Our main office is located in Plano, but we are open to supporting the right candidate in building or expanding into another Collin County market if there is a strong business opportunity.
This is a full-time, hybrid role for an escrow professional who is confident managing the full closing process while also maintaining and growing strong relationships with real estate agents, lenders, builders, investors, and referral partners.
The Escrow Officer will be responsible for managing residential real estate closings from start to finish, including opening new orders, reviewing contracts, clearing title issues, preparing settlement statements, balancing files, scheduling closings, conducting signings, handling escrow funds, recording documents, and disbursing files.
The ideal candidate is someone who already has strong industry relationships, takes pride in excellent communication, provides a high level of service, and wants the opportunity to grow with a company that values both production and customer experience.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has an existing book of business or strong referral relationships in the real estate, lending, builder, investor, or relocation space
- Wants to grow with a locally owned title company rather than get lost in a large corporate structure
- Is motivated, entrepreneurial, and excited about helping expand our footprint in Plano and surrounding Collin County markets
- Provides exceptional customer service and understands the importance of communication throughout the closing process
- Can manage closings accurately, professionally, and efficiently from contract to funding
- Values teamwork, accountability, integrity, and long-term client relationships
- Is comfortable representing the company in the community and helping drive continued growth
- Manage residential escrow files from opening through closing and funding
- Review contracts, title commitments, lender instructions, invoices, payoffs, HOA documents, and closing requirements
- Prepare settlement statements, closing disclosures, and final closing documents
- Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, attorneys, and internal team members
- Clear title requirements and resolve file issues in a timely and professional manner
- Schedule and conduct closings, including explaining documents and ensuring proper execution
- Handle escrow funds, balance files, disburse funds, and maintain accurate file documentation
- Provide proactive communication and exceptional service to clients and referral partners
- Maintain and grow existing business relationships while helping develop new opportunities
- Follow all company policies, compliance requirements, and applicable Texas title and escrow regulations
- Proven experience as an Escrow Officer in Texas
- Existing book of business or established referral relationships strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential real estate transactions, contracts, title commitments, settlement statements, and closing documents
- Experience managing closings from start to finish
- Texas Notary commission or ability to obtain one
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy when handling funds, documents, and deadlines
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Experience with common title and escrow software preferred
- Professional, client-focused, and motivated to grow
This is an opportunity for the right escrow officer to come in early, grow with us, and have a voice in the future of the company. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a desk, someone who wants the support, flexibility, and opportunity to build something alongside a team that cares deeply about service, relationships, and long-term success.
- Our main office is in Plano, but for the right person with the right book of business, we are open to discussing growth opportunities in or around other Collin County markets.
