Job Duties:This position performs highly complex inventory and retail sales work in a unit commissary. Responsibilities include stocking, arranging, and transferring inventory; displaying and selling merchandise; and ensuring compliance with established security requirements, lossprevention controls, and procedures. The role also involves providing guidance to others and maintaining accurate, secure inventory practices. Work is performed under general supervision with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment, requiring strong attention to detail and adherence to commissary operational standards.You'd be a GOOD fit if:You have experience managing inventory, receiving, and selling products, and can maintain accurate records while reconciling discrepancies. Youre able to learn commissary operations, including policies, procedures, and security requirements, and you work in an organized and dependable manner while prioritizing multiple tasks in a correctional environment. You communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and incarcerated individuals, use inventory, financial, and computer systems confidently, and follow established procedures for receiving, selling, delivering, and accounting for inventorymaking you wellsuited for success in this position.You'd be a GREAT fit if:You have strong inventory management or commissary operations experience and consistently identify and resolve discrepancies before they become larger issues. You understand the importance of accuracy, accountability, security, and customer service in a unit commissary, and you can independently manage daily operations while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
