Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.
OR
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or technical college with a major in computer science, plus two (2) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.
OR
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 12 semester hours in computer science, plus three (3) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.
OR
Completion of 30 semester hours (600 clock hours) in computer science from a licensed vocational, technical or business school or accredited college, plus three (3) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.
OR
Completion of 15 semester hours (300 clock hours) in computer science from a licensed vocational, technical or business school or accredited college, plus four (4) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead coding tasks for application maintenance, support, and development based on requirements and design documentation and adhering to agency information technology (IT) standards. Review and evaluate coding best practices, techniques, and training needs.
- Provide technical advice and perform design tasks for application maintenance, support, and development, based on requirements documentation while adhering to agency IT standards.
- Coordinate testing and Quality Assurance/Quality Control tasks for application maintenance, support, and development, against requirements and design documentation while adhering to agency IT standards; participate/lead peer reviews. Guide and assist customers with customer acceptance testing.
- Provide advice on technical tasks regarding application maintenance, support, and development, to include creating charters, developing business cases; and providing project plans and status reports; participate in sponsor meetings, create requirements documentation, and facilitate joint application development (JAD) sessions.
- Provide customer support to agency staff specific to agency applications, IT policies, and general related IT areas.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience programming with ColdFusion, JAVA, Hibernate, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Java Script, CSS, XML, and/or HTML.
- Experience with configuration management, quality assurance, and/or change management.
- Experience in performing business analysis work includes writing requirements, design and test plan documentation, and/or facilitating JAD sessions.
