HEREand#8217;S WHAT YOUand#8217;LL BE DOINGConducts in office and/or on-site engineering and technical reviews, analyses, quality control and evaluations of routine to highly complex information from internal and external customers to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; and follows up with appropriate actions.
Provides information and engineering assistance concerning requests and submittals from public water systems to internal and external customers through verbal communication, email, correspondence, meetings, on-site assistance, and presentations.
Provides customer service to internal and external customers related to the agencyand#8217;s drinking water program through verbal and written communication, correspondence, reports, meetings, presentations, and responses to Public Information Requests (PIRs).
Provides training and mentoring to other staff. Serves as a subject matter expert engineer for assigned programs/topics.
Plans and/or participates in special projects, such as serving as an owner of standard operating procedures (SOPs), updating, or developing a guidance document and working on Section/Division business process improvement projects.
Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCETexas Professional Engineer's license plus two years of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure.Qualifying work experience includes that obtained post licensure as an engineering graduate student or teacher.TRANSCRIPT/ COLLEGE HOURS or COURSE WORK:See instructionson how to attach documents. A copy of your official college transcript or evaluation of foreign credentials in CAPPS is required if needed to meet the qualifications listed above.CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEESThis position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within theEngineer IIIstate classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in theEngineer IIIseries. Work ScheduleStandard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Headquarters.BENEFITSOptional 401(k) and 457 plans
