This position is a member of our Division Support Section of the Remediation Division .
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Five years of full-time experience in conducting quality assurance and quality control of data, data review and reconciliation, data research, or data compilation; and/or data reporting work.
OR
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in basic science, computer science, environmental studies, mathematics, statistics, or a related field; plus, one year of the required experience.
OR
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; plus, two years of the required experience.
Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business & Commerce Code Section 117.001(2). Accordingly, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a requirement to be hired for and to continue to be employed with TCEQ.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
- Participate in database reporting functions for Remediation Division programs, including assisting in preparing technical reports to present and interpret data, identify and interpret data trends, assess data quality, and make recommendations on data revisions.
- Participate in the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of Office and Division SharePoint assets. Assist subject matter experts for various web and database projects. Ensure material posted on agency websites conforms to agency standards, including accessibility standards. Track and analyze division web page usage.
- Assist in the maintenance of division web records databases, i.e. Oracle Webcenter Content (WCC), or other databases. Work with internal and external customers to identify user needs to design agency reports, develop ad hoc report queries, analyzes data using statistical tools, methods and techniques, and interprets results.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining standard agency and division SOPs governing data usage and reporting, responding to public information requests, providing training, and performing related work.
- Experience in database reporting functions, including running database queries and generating custom reports.
- Experience with one or more programming technologies (examples: HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, Cold Fusion, .NET, Python, etc.).
- Experience with SharePoint or other web based platforms (such as creation of sites, lists, libraries, simple workflow processes, and site customizations).
