We are seeking a skilled Commercial Tire Technician to perform tire-related services safely and efficiently for a variety of commercial vehicles. This role involves in-shop tire but mainly Mobile Service installation, repair, and maintenance, as well as upkeep of equipment and service vehicles. The ideal candidate will follow all company policies and federal safety standards to ensure high-quality service and safety at all times.

  • Perform advanced tire services such as match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and correcting radial runout as needed.
  • Inflate tires to manufacturer-recommended PSI based on load requirements.
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain all tire service equipment and clean and organize the shop daily to ensure proper working condition and a safe, efficient work environment.
  • Assist outside sales with pulling tires from inventory and loading as needed.
  • Assist the General Manager with monthly/quarterly inventory, including weekend work as necessary to complete the process.
  • Inspect tires to determine repairable conditions and complete necessary repairs.
  • Remove tires for retreading or off-site repair when appropriate.
  • Properly dispose of used, damaged, or non-repairable tires in accordance with company policy and environmental regulations.
  • Complete and submit all required service and billing paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to company procedures for checking tires in and out, ensuring accountability and proper documentation.
  • Comply fully with OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Always wear PPE, use safety cages, and follow established protocols for safe tire handling and equipment use.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School or GED preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant service experience is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license including being at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision.
  • Willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
  • Good oral and written communication ability.
