We’re seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team, providing support in our Willow Park location. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday, adapts quickly to different environments, and thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. You’ll work closely with providers and staff to ensure the clinic runs smoothly and patients receive top-quality care.
Location: 136 El Chico Trail Willow Park, TX 76087
Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday 8am-noon.
Reports to: Practice Manager; Office Supervisor
Here’s What You Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Certified Medical Assistant Certification (required)
- Four (4) Years of Medical Assistant experience (required)
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel during training (required)
- Phlebotomy Experience (plus)
What You Will Do
- Obtain information from the patient to assist with building a patient's chart and assessment.
- Assist physician with documentation during each patient’s visit by entering information such as the Chief Complaint, History of Present Illness, Review of Systems, Physical Exam, Diagnosis, Orders and Charges, Assessment and Plan.
- Sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/X-ray reports, hospital notes, completing forms/requisitions as needed; scheduling appointments; complete prior authorizations and patient demographics; managing and updating charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriately.
- Setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocols; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; and restocking exam/procedure rooms.
- Respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisor.
- Fulfills clinical medical assisting responsibilities that vary according to state law, which may include medical/surgical asepsis, sterilization, instrument wrapping and autoclaving; checking vital signs; physical examination preparations; drug administration through various routes including injections; prescription verifications with physician’s orders; minor surgery assists including surgical tray set-up pre/post-surgical care, applying dressings, and suture removal; biohazard waste disposal and monitoring; instructing patients with assistive devices, body mechanics, and home care; laboratory procedures including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines; CLIA-waived testing; capillary punctures and venipunctures; specimen handling such as urine, blood and semen; emergency triage, and first aid. Medical assistants must adhere to the MA scope of practice.

Pay: $19.00/hr - $22.00/hr
