Duties
- Perform comprehensive pool cleaning including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls and floors to remove debris and algae buildup.
- Conduct regular water testing and adjust chemical levels to ensure optimal water quality and safety standards.
- Inspect pool equipment such as filters, pumps, heaters, and chlorinators; perform routine maintenance or minor repairs as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, chemical treatments, and repair work for each pool serviced.
- Identify potential maintenance issues early and communicate necessary repairs or upgrades to supervisors or service technicians.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during cleaning and maintenance procedures to protect yourself and clients’ property.
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience handling pool equipment or related machinery.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and small maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Prior experience in pool maintenance or as a service technician is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy equipment, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of chemical balancing and water chemistry principles.
- Valid driver’s license required for travel between job sites; reliable transportation required.
