What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at TEXAS ALLERGY GROUP?
Texas Allergy Group is looking for a part-time medical assistant. No medical experience is required although preferred. This position is ideal for a Pre-Med or Pre-Nursing student who is looking to gain experience and exposure in the medical field. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and takes initiative.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Helping with front desk tasks such as booking appointments and verifying patient insurance eligibility
-Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs
- Administer injections, allergy skin testing, and medications as directed by healthcare providers
-Perform pulmonary lung function testing on patient
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Applicant must be able to speak Vietnamese, Mandarin, or Spanish.
