The Online MBA Program at Mays Business School is seeking a dynamic and driven Admissions & Recruitment professional to become our next MBA Program Coordinator. You will lead strategic outreach, engage with prospective students, and support the admissions process from first contact to enrollment. This role offers a unique opportunity to liaise with high-level alumni, private sector executive leaders and other stakeholders as you represent our nationally recognized program at events across the country—and occasionally around the globe—while shaping the future of our student community.

Essential Duties/Tasks

Recruitment and Outreach

  • Engage with prospective students, alumni, and industry leaders to build a strong applicant pipeline.
  • Represent the Online MBA program at recruiting fairs, professional events, and information sessions—locally, nationally, and occasionally internationally.
  • Will be required to drive a university or other motor vehicle to attend MBA recruiting fairs throughout the country.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute recruitment strategies and promotional materials.
  • Monitor peer institutions to stay current on recruitment trends and best practices.


Admissions Processing

  • Review and evaluate applications, recommending candidates for interviews.
  • Conduct applicant interviews and contribute to admissions decisions.
  • Track and report admissions data to support program goals.


Event Planning and Student Engagement

  • Plan and execute recruitment events, including information sessions, admitted student events, and networking opportunities.
  • Meet individually with prospective students to advise on program fit and application planning.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding program offerings and financial aid options.


What You Need To Know

Salary Range: $46,924 - $55,000/annually (Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.)

Other Requirements and Factors: This is an in-person opportunity which requires some nights and weekends, working on/off campus outside of normal business hours to attend professional events, information sessions, and MBA recruiting fairs in Texas, throughout the country, and possibly internationally.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two years of experience in higher education recruiting, higher education admissions, or related experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, education administration, marketing, counseling, or related field.
  • Four years of experience in graduate admissions, graduate/working professional recruiting, sales, marketing, business, and/or higher education, including at least two years in a direct selling or recruiting role.
  • Reporting proficiency with MS Excel or similar software.
  • An Aggie Ring is welcome.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
