We’re seeking a Network Engineer III to serve as a technical lead for enterprise‑scale and stadium network systems supporting wireless, IPTV, security, and core infrastructure across athletic facilities—including Kyle Field. This is a hands‑on leadership role at the intersection of sports, live events, and high‑performance networking.
What You’ll Do
Salary: Up to $80,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.
Schedule: May include evenings, weekends, and holidays to support events

What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate complex network engineering projects from design through deployment
- Architect, upgrade, and secure enterprise and stadium‑scale networks
- Support wireless and IPTV systems across all athletic facilities
- Manage core switches, firewalls, and critical infrastructure at Kyle Field
- Partner with vendors, stakeholders, and project teams on new technologies
- Troubleshoot high‑impact network issues in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments
- Create and maintain SOPs, network documentation, and diagrams
- Use automation tools to streamline network operations

Security Sensitive Position
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- Five years of network design experience
- CompTIA Network , CCNA, or CCNP
- Demonstrated strong work ethics and commitment to high‑quality performance.
- Proven leadership potential and ability to guide, influence, or mentor others.
- Open to learning and adaptability, with a demonstrated willingness to embrace new technologies and processes.
- Supervisory experience, including the ability to guide, support, and develop team members.
- Network deployment and administration experience/knowledge, with hands‑on experience managing and supporting complex network environments.
- Ability to perform effectively in high‑pressure situations, maintaining sound judgment and timely decision‑making.
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of advanced Information Technology (IT) and the Interface Technology Library (ITIL).
- Ability to perform intermediate troubleshooting and maintain client relations. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of project management, mentoring, negotiation skills, basic vendor relations, advanced client relations skills, proposal writing, business acumen, persuasive communication, adaptability to change, team leadership skills, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system.
- This role may require working outside of standard office hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support the demands of technology services and ensure the seamless operation of essential systems.
- This position is security sensitive.
- This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures.
