Essential Duties/Tasks
Training
- Trains users on Canvas and other technology and equipment.
- Conducts or assists with training workshops and seminars on use of course management technology.
- Develops and updates tutorials and online resources.
- Designs and creates instructional web pages for faculty and others.
- Assists and supports faculty and others in the development of web-based courses utilizing instructional technologies.
- Advises on course management and assist instructional designer on course development, integration of media into curricula, and accessibility requirements.
- Assists in the design and implementation of technology assessments.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- No prior experience required.
- Four years of related experience with Instructional Design and Learning Management System.
- Experience working in higher education setting.
- Knowledge of instructional technology support in higher education.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Knowledge of a variety of learning management systems.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.
