What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic Professional Track (Non Tenure): Senior Lecturer position at Texas A&M University?
The James Benjamin Department of Accounting at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, invites applications for a full-time, academic professional track (non-tenure) position with a 9-month appointment beginning Fall 2026. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Senior Lecturer.
The successful candidate is expected to teach graduate and undergraduate classes, provide service to the department and college, and, as appropriate, work with PhD students and conduct scholarly research.
ABOUT THE JAMES BENJAMIN DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING: The James Benjamin Department of Accounting perennially ranks as one of the most productive accounting departments in the world for scholarly archival-based research according to the BYU Accounting Research Rankings. We have a vibrant and outstanding group of faculty at all ranks, many of whom are serving (or have served) as editors or members of the editorial boards of our field’s leading journals. Our PhD program consistently ranks as one of the top doctoral accounting programs in the world based on the research productivity of our graduates (BYU Accounting PhD Program Rankings). From a teaching perspective, the department is consistently recognized for its teaching excellence at both the college and University levels.
