Other effort assignments are expected to be 10-15% didactic teaching, 10-15% scholarship, and 10% academic service. The faculty member is expected to develop and deliver well-organized, creative lectures and laboratory materials in the professional curriculum, be effective and innovative in his/her approach to teaching, and to teach, supervise, and mentor fourth year students, interns, and residents in the VMTH. Faculty members are expected to commit to holding themselves and colleagues accountable to the VMBS code of professional conduct.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of six faculty radiologists and seven radiology residents. Five of these radiologists also hold ACVR board certification in Equine Diagnostic Imaging (EDI), making this the largest group of ACVR-EDI diplomates in the world. The Radiology Service is supported by a well-trained staff of dedicated technicians in all service areas. Our imaging equipment includes 3-tesla MRI (Siemens MAGNETOM Verio), 40-slice CT (Siemens SOMATOM Definition AS), ultrasound (Samsung RS85, Samsung RS80A), fluoroscopy, scintigraphy, and digital radiography.
