What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) position at Texarkana ISD?
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Coordinator of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is responsible for overseeing and implementing the district-wide MTSS framework to ensure that all students receive the appropriate levels of academic, behavioral, and emotional support. The Coordinator will collaborate with school counselors, teachers, campus and district administrators, and families to create an integrated support system that promotes student well-being, academic success, and overall development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Master’s degree preferred
Texas Mid-management or other appropriate Texas certificate
Certified T-TESS appraiser preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in counseling, student services, or a related role, preferably in an educational setting.
Experience working with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) or Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks is highly preferred.
Experience in program management, data analysis, and evaluation.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Calm and patient demeanor with students and others
Ability to analyze data and use it to inform decisions and improve student outcomes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience:
Three years experience as a classroom teacher and/or counselor
Two years experience in instructional leadership roles
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of the role.
Salary : $63,168 - $91,848
