About Homeland Safety Systems

Homeland Safety Systems is a rapidly growing security integrator focused on industrial and commercial security consulting, design, engineering and installation. We specialize in high-end, complex electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance (CCTV), detention control and communication systems. We serve customers throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Texas, from industrial and government facilities to schools, correctional facilities and other critical environments.

The Role

If you're good with computers, love getting the details right, enjoy variety and want to break into the tech and security industry, this is your starting point. You'll turn blueprints and site photos into detailed floorplans in Visio, help our engineers map out security systems, and help build the proposals that win new projects.

You'll split your time about equally between Engineering and Sales, acting as the liaison between the two teams. That means keeping proposals moving, keeping our CRM (HubSpot) accurate and keeping customers informed. We'll train you, and there's a real path to grow into engineering or sales.

What You'll Do

• Floorplan Design: Build facility floorplans in Visio (a CAD-like design program) from blueprints, photos and occasionally video
• System Layout: Help engineers map security systems by placing cameras, card readers, door hardware and other components on floorplans for review
• Proposal Support: Help create proposal documents, including Scopes of Work and Proposals
• Project Coordination: Move proposal work through the engineering process and keep projects on track
• Team Liaison: Keep Sales, Engineering and Operations informed of updates and changes
• Lead Follow-Up: Work with Marketing and Sales leadership to follow up on new leads
• Customer Follow-Up: Handle follow-up calls and emails with customers
• Meetings & Walkthroughs: Help schedule client meetings and site walkthroughs
• Account Lists: Build and maintain lists of current and prospective customers
• Records: Keep project files and customer records organized in HubSpot
• Sales Reporting: Track sales activity and compile updates for the weekly sales meeting
• Trade Shows: Prep marketing materials, help set up and break down demo displays, and log contacts for follow-up
• Admin Support: Handle other administrative tasks as needed
  
  

What You Bring

• Strong computer skills and comfort learning new software
• Sharp attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Clear, professional communication by phone, email and in person
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• A team-first attitude and an eagerness to learn
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort working in a CRM
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (MVR)
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks required for industry licensing and security clearance
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening
  
  

Nice to Have

• Coursework or experience in Visio, CAD, drafting, IT, networking or electronics
• Technical college or degree program (recent grads welcome)
• Experience with HubSpot or another CRM
• Interest in the security, low-voltage or technology industry
