Therapist For YCOT (Youth Crisis Outreach Team)
Role Responsibilities
The Therapist provides direct services to youth aged 3-17 that have recently experienced a mental health crisis. Many of these youth may be diagnosed with serious and pervasive mental illness. The desired candidate must have diverse, well-developed clinical skills as well as rehabilitation skills, working with a wide range of behavioral and substance use problems. The candidate will be well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), brief solution focused therapy, group therapy as well as a conceptual understanding of assessment, crisis management, family systems, case management and coordination of services and community resources. Must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary treatment team within a multi-faceted behavioral health care delivery system. Must be able to develop Recovery Plans, complete Children Needs and Strength Assessments for patients on assigned caseload. The position will provide clinical services to self-paying, individuals, private insurance and eligible Medicaid, Medicare and Priority population patients. Timely and accurate documentation is required. Clinical notes and assessments must meet all applicable standards. Must have excellent engagement, time management and organizational skills. Therapist will be officed in Rosenberg, Texas but will provide community-based services to the youth and their family at their home, at school, or other community locations. Travel within Fort Bend County is required. Routine hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday with flexibility for schedule changes to allow for work outside routine hours or day. Reports directly to the Crisis Services Manager and to the MCOT Supervisor. Responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of Texana’s compliance policy.
Salary
- 90% $73,123.27 annually to start
- 95% $77,185.68 annually at 6 months with satisfactory performance
- 100% $81,248.08 annually
Required Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
- Master’s in counseling, Psychology or related field
- Texas license as LCSW, LMFT or LPC
- Texas driver’s license in good standing as defined by Texana Center’s procedure
- CBT certified or obtain within 6 months of employment
- 2 years therapy experience in mental health field
Preferred Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
- Spanish speaking
Job related Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform SAMA and CPR.
- Must be able to perform moderate lifting and carrying (15-44#), pushing, stooping, repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking, sitting and twisting.
- Must have ability to see, write, operate office equipment, operate a motor vehicle and have depth perception.
- Qualified individual must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
