Position Summary
In support of the Response, Assessment, and Evaluation Services (RAES) program. the selected candidate will
- Support design documents related to repositories and erosion control features. Participate in the review engineering designs and construction documents related to repositories and erosion control features
- Conduct field work associated with construction oversight of CERCLA removal and remedial actions
- Write technical reports including, but not limited to, engineering designs, data transmittals, engineering evaluation/cost analysis, remedial investigation/feasibility study, construction quality assurance plans, and construction completion reports

Essential Job Functions (Required)

- Support the design and review of engineering documents
- Communicate effectively with colleagues
- Conduct field work
- Degree: BS Engineering
- Years of Experience (range is okay): 1 – 6 years
- Knowledge, skills, experience:
- Familiarity with environmental investigations that support design/construction of disposal cells, waste piles, evaporative covers/caps, erosion and water controls, stormwater routing and controls, road design, slope stabilization, or restoration techniques
- Experience or understanding of engineering design documents and specifications, reports and construction oversight including contractor report submittals
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Familiarity with land surveying
- Civil Engineering
- Experience with environmental remediation or mining and mine reclamation, interaction with regulatory agencies, CERCLA sites.
- Experience with construction or construction oversight
- Experience working with Principal Threat Waste (PTW)

- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, both hot and cold
- Walk on uneven terrain
- Work in variable outdoor environments, packing heavy equipment, and excavations using hand tools.
- Carry field equipment (35 to 40 pounds)
- Don personal protective gear as needed
- You must be able to drive on a regular basis.
- Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required.
- This position is primarily desk work, however, occasionally (35%) you will need to travel and perform fieldwork. The field work is in Arizona and New Mexico.
- A physical capacity for working outdoors, often in isolated remote areas.
- Work schedule (days, hours): Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Overtime requirements: Overtime may be required during field work activities
- Night/weekend requirements: Periodic travel with overnight accommodations
- Work location: In our Albuquerque, NM Office full-time or hybrid.
- Travel requirements: 35%
- Other: This arrangement is subject to review and may change at the company’s discretion
