Your Role:
As a mid-level Stormwater Project Engineer, you will:
- Lead portions of projects involving stormwater management, watershed modeling, hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) studies, and water infrastructure design.
- Develop and review hydrologic and hydraulic models (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, etc.).
- Take responsibility for portions of design packages including stormwater systems, culverts, detention basins, green infrastructure, and flood mitigation solutions.
- Conduct site investigations, field data collection, and condition assessments with limited oversight.
- Prepare technical reports, permitting documents, and construction drawings with a focus on quality and compliance.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with senior staff across disciplines (civil, environmental, geotechnical, and planning).
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline (M.S. a plus).
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in water resources, stormwater, or wastewater projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM) and design platforms (AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS).
- Strong technical writing, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting team-oriented project delivery.
