Mold Maker Assistant

Job Duties:

• Perform maintenance and repair on molds
• Build new projects with limited guidance
• Ability to analyze and repair simple to complex tools in close collaboration with manager
• Effective use of mold making equipment (knee mill, surface grinders, lathe, fork lift)
• Able to effectively lead a repair project requiring planning and resource allocation
• Able to repair with minimal guidance and oversight
• Disassemble and re-assemble tooling to verify dimensions
• Maintain the work area through good housekeeping and safety practices
• TS16949 Quality system familiarity
• Other related tasks as assigned

Skills/qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in mold repair/building environment
• Experience with mold making tools and equipment
• Applicant will be capable of reading blueprints, evaluating dimensional information, using measuring equipment to verify accuracy such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.
• Applicant will be responsible for producing accurate mechanical details from various types of machinery used in the building of jigs, and molds
• Demonstrates a very high level of mechanical experience.
• Self-Starter
• Works well in team environment.
• Must have clean background and pass drug screen.
• Prefer some level of experience with the following :

*CAD
*CAM
*CNC
*Welding
