What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mold Maker/Machinist position at P&R Specialty?
P&R Specialty, Inc., a leading manufacturer of Plastic Spools, Fiber Spools and Plywood Reels serving the wire and cable industry for 40 years, is seeking a Machinist to join their growing tooling department.
The Machinist is responsible for building new injection molds and stamping dies and making repairs or adjustments to existing tooling, while following safe work practices.
Key performance objectives in order of priority are:
- Creates new tooling for the company’s injection molding and stamping operations to support the company’s growth objectives.
- Repairs or makes adjustments to existing tooling to support the company’s production objectives.
- Effectively communicates job specific issues with internal team members to optimize production and maintain quality.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a machinist, a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read and follow blueprints or work order instructions, and the ability to use measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.). Experience with CAD software is a plus. Strong technical skills and an attention to detail are a must! In this position, a candidate with a positive attitude and an excellent work ethic will succeed.
Compensation will be structured around the individual and their capability. Benefit package includes health insurance, vacation and holiday pay, 401(k).
