Product Manager — Healthcare SaaS
Remote but must be based in one of these hubs: Minneapolis, Nashville, Tampa, Phoenix, Boston, or Seattle.
We're seeking a strategic, user-focused Product Manager to join a growing healthcare SaaS team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong product management foundation and a genuine passion for improving healthcare through technology.
You'll drive the development and enhancement of digital products that serve healthcare providers, payers, and patients—ensuring they're compliant, scalable, and impactful. Working cross-functionally with engineering, design, clinical, and compliance teams, you'll deliver solutions that meet both market needs and regulatory standards. You'll own the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, using data, customer insights, and industry trends to inform decisions and prioritize features.
What You'll Do
Healthcare Industry Knowledge & Regulatory Acumen
- Apply familiarity with clinical workflows and terminology
- Navigate clinical frameworks and translate them into product requirements
- Account for patient safety and data privacy concerns (PHI)
- Maintain a working understanding of HIPAA and other compliance standards
Strategic Product Thinking
- Align product vision with business goals and market needs
- Develop strategies that drive value for users and the business
- Build a roadmap by prioritizing features on impact, feasibility, and compliance
- Identify market opportunities and de-risk ideas through experimentation, voice of customer, and competitive research
Technical Proficiency & Integration Awareness
- Understand software development processes and agile methodologies
- Apply knowledge of healthcare SaaS platforms (e.g., EHRs, telemedicine tools)
- Ensure interoperability with legacy systems and existing healthcare infrastructure
User-Centric Design & Customer Insight
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback, refine requirements, and guide value proposition
- Partner with design to deliver intuitive, accessible, and compliant user experiences
- Champion experiences tailored to complex clinical workflows
Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication
- Serve as the bridge between engineering, design, clinical experts, and business teams
- Lead cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle, from refinement to launch
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Align diverse teams around shared goals and manage expectations effectively
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Informatics, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
- 4–6 years of relevant product management experience
- Proficiency with AI/ML technologies and data-driven product management
- Proven track record launching and iteratively improving digital products
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams (engineering, design, clinical, compliance)
- Experience in agile environments managing product backlogs in tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Hands-on experience with product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Gainsight)
- Ability to interpret healthcare data and use it to inform product strategy
- Experience partnering with legal or compliance teams during product development
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with EHR systems, clinical workflows, or health data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
- Exposure to HIPAA, GDPR, or other healthcare compliance frameworks
- Master's degree or relevant certifications, such as:
