Field Inspection Technician
Looking for a field technician for a materials testing and construction inspection company in Connecticut/New York area. We inspect Steel, Wood Framing, Concrete, Soil, Rebar, and provide other various Engineering inspections.
Responsibilities:
To learn the tasks and perform them well:
- Perform steel, wood framing, and/ or soil inspections at client locations.
- Have knowledge of concrete, rebar and masonry inspections.
- Read construction site plans, specifications, and designs.
- Submit all reports and time within a 24 hour period.
Duties to include:
- Inspecting & testing accurately, meeting deadlines, communicating issues/problems quickly and reporting the data in a timely manner.
- Able to work well on a Construction site and communicate the expectations, issues, concerns or corrections required for the project to the client, the workers, and document all on daily reports.
- Conducts Field work involving collecting soil or concrete samples, testing concrete, evaluating and reporting, turning in reports daily, as required.
- Reads construction site plans and interprets where inspections are required.
- Documents results of tests & inspections for reports accurately.
- Able to learn the NVLAP/AASHTO preparation process ensuring all proper documentation, and submission of correct, accurate paperwork.
-Willing to work hard, Detail orientation, Driver's license and good driving record, Car needed.
-AWS & ACI Certification preferred!
We are looking for good communication skills, initiative, and high energy. Spanish is a PLUS!
Position available Immediately. All training provided. Must be comfortable working OUTDOORS in all weather. Great growth potential!

Requirements:
- Experience Preferred, related experience and certification is a plus.
- Preferred certifications: ACI, NETTCP, ATSSA, AWS/CWI, NACE/SSPC.
- Must understand & be able to read blueprints
- Willing to be trained.
- MUST HAVE a CAR.
- MUST have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
- Must speak and write english fluently. Spanish is a plus.
