What To Expect
The Failure Analysis Team’s mission is to determine root cause and contributing factors to improve the experience of Tesla’s products by reducing field issues, in collaboration with large cross-section of other engineering teams. Engineers and Technicians on the team are responsible for a wide variety of vehicle and energy product systems for existing models and models in development. This extremely high visibility individual contributor role requires extensive hands-on work who will take initiative.
What You'll Do
Build and operate automated test equipment such as test PCBAs, harnesses and fixtures to make functional testing more efficient and repeatable Utilize existing company-wide test infrastructure to new products and parts Perform data analysis on test results and present findings to requesting engineers Support day-day operations of staff performing high volume part testing Debug complex digital and analog LV PCBAs
What You'll Bring
1-3 years in a hands-on lab or testing environment Experience building test harnesses and fixtures Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, DAQs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, curve tracer, and function generators), instrumentation, multiplexers, and measurement techniques Experience with Windows and Linux is preferred Experience with 3D CAD preferred Ability to lift 30 lbs.
