What To Expect
In this role, you will lead failure analysis using CT/X-ray systems to diagnose root causes of defects in Tesla’s electromechanical components. You will advise design and manufacturing teams on integrating radiographic tools into development cycles and develop advanced workflows to automate analysis. This role requires advising teams on the development and implementation of new radiographic technologies, training engineers/technicians on NDT best practices, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve complex failure modes.
What You'll Do
Lead CT/X-ray imaging analysis to identify failure modes in Tesla components Develop and validate advanced imaging protocols for non-destructive testing (NDT) Advise teams on developing and implementing new radiographic technologies Train engineers and technicians on NDT best practices Drive automation of data analysis workflows to enhance lab throughput
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience NDT Level III certification in radiographic testing (RT) or computed tomography (CT) 8 years of hands-on experience in failure analysis using CT/X-ray systems Mastery of Avizo, VGStudio, or similar 3D data reconstruction tools Ability to communicate complex failure modes to stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills

$130,400 - $276,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
