What To Expect
Tesla’s Test team is seeking a Display Test Engineer to lead the validation of our industry-defining display systems. As the central interface for vehicle control and infotainment, our displays require rigorous testing to ensure uncompromised performance and reliability. You will develop comprehensive test plans and execute validation procedures at both the component and system levels to drive continuous design improvement. You will serve as a key technical liaison between Hardware, Software, Reliability, and external suppliers to resolve complex integration challenges. Ultimately, you will manage the testing lifecycle to ensure our displays meet the high standards required for the critical role they play in the Tesla driving experience.
What You'll Do
Test and validate Tesla’s Display designs before they hit production Collaborate with design and reliability teams to root cause failures Develop and maintain automation-focused test software to streamline execution, data collection and data analysis Manage and execute tests from initial setup and instrumentation through to completion, troubleshooting issues as they arise Design test plans to evaluate the impact of design decisions and make recommendations on the final vehicle design
What You'll Bring
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience Strong electrical first principles skills Solid understanding of display technologies, including module construction, manufacturing processes (frontend/backend), display reliability, and electronics systems Proficient in Python Proficient in using boards; Jetson Nanos, Raspberry Pis, etc. Eagerness to be hands-on, understanding how to interact with a system and automate repeatable tasks Strive for efficiency

$80,000 - $204,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
