ID 245037 Job Type Full-time What to Expect In this role you will be responsible for installation on access control equipment and IP based video systems including but not limited to: electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems and intercom systems, PLC systems, VFD systems, PSP systems, FCU systems, PLC systems. What You’ll Do Installs electrical equipment and systems at Tesla Nevada, employing technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills Performs Low Voltage cabling installations, covering New Commercial Data, Access Control, Fiber Optic, Fire Alarm Cable, and HVAC Cable Installs Access control equipment, data equipment (e.g., data racks, patch panels, cable trays), and works with electronic control systems Supports controls group in troubleshooting, upgrading, and new installations of systems Consults manuals and interprets circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics Repairs and adjusts system components, including the removal and replacement of defective parts Works on projects throughout the facility, utilizing lifts and ladders, and employs complex electrical schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting and correction What You’ll Bring 5+ years of experience as a Site Support Technician or in a similar role Proficient in installing j-hooks, ladder racks, and cable trays in IDF/MDF/MPOE environments Skilled in using hand tools, electrical meters, and testing equipment for Low Voltage Cabling & Instrumentation and Controls Able to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID drawings Strong troubleshooting knowledge of motor controls, drives, and electronic components Capable of interpreting complex electrical prints and schematics for effective troubleshooting and correction Versatile team player with strong interpersonal skills, high initiative, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
