About the Role
Provide engineering calculations and pipe system design support for industrial piping projects. Work with a team of engineers to design, analyze, and optimize piping systems, supports, and products, supporting both domestic and international customers.
Responsibilities
- Review system requirements and recommend appropriate piping solutions.
- Perform thermal, movement, anchor load, and other engineering calculations.
- Design pipe supports and related products.
- Assist in developing new products or improving existing ones.
- Support field installations to optimize system performance.
- Provide technical support to sales, including organizing and conducting seminars.
- Collaborate within a team of engineers, balancing HQ and remote contributions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- 2–10 years of experience in pipe system design and stress analysis.
- PE License preferred; EIT candidates considered with intent to pursue PE.
- Experience with pipe stress software such as AutoPIPE or Caesar Stress Analysis; SmartPlant 3D a plus.
- Familiarity with Revit, BIM, CAD for clash detection is desirable.
- Knowledge of industrial or buried piping systems preferred.
- Experience with design-build projects or EPC environments beneficial.
- Strong communication, organizational, and professional skills.
- Ability to travel up to ~15%.
- Increased compensation package for PE License
