Candidate must be detail oriented, dependable, flexible and eager to learn. Excellent computer and people skills are a must. Accounting background is desirable. Job is heavy in data entry that must be completed daily and weekly.

There is the ability to learn and work in other aspects of business if primary duties and responsibilities are fulfilled.

Duties for all account receivables and payables include but are not limited to:

  • Keep all sensitive information confidential including but not limited to employee, customer, vendor, and company.
  • Answer accounting department phone calls
  • Perform credit checks for new customer accounts.
  • Update customer accounts with new or updated information.
  • Process ROAs for customers through POS system.
  • Process customer A/R statements.
  • Contact customers regarding payment of past due accounts.
  • Assist/Complete Vendor Credit applications when necessary.
  • Update vendor accounts with new or updated information.
  • Process and schedule vendor invoices in the system for payment.
  • Pay vendors with routine check runs.
  • Research vendor inquires and statements for items such as unpaid past due invoices, short payments, discounts, terms, etc.
  • Count daily deposits, reconcile.
  • Keep petty cash funds balanced in front and back safes, maintain change levels (coins and bills) for POS registers.
  • Assist in answering the main line phone calls when cashiers are busy.
  • Run point-of-sale system at the registers to complete sales and returns.
  • Maintain stock of office supplies, printer inks, paper, etc. Work with management to identify needs.
  • Complete errands for the store’s daily and monthly needs; i.e. bank deposit, post office, treats for staff, birthdays, parties, etc.
  • Assist with website updates, promotions and events as requested.
  • Create and stock business contact cards for individuals and departments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
