What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Information Specialist position at Terrorism and Financial Intelligence - Intelligence Analysis?
This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence - Intelligence Analysis. As a Visual Information Specialist, you will oversee the production of visual analytics products for internal and IC-wide audiences, manage the development of OIA's strategic visual analytic efforts, and oversee the development and dissemination of OIA's internal and external communications.
Specialized Experience for the GS-14 is one year (52 weeks) of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or equivalent, which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes:
-Leading the development and production of visual information products for print and digital platforms, such as infographics, charts, maps, illustrations, and interactive content, to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences; AND
-Planning, coordinating, and executing visual communication strategies, including establishing priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products; AND
-Applying principles of information design, data visualization, and graphic design, using industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), to enhance clarity, usability, and impact of products; AND
-Leading day-to-day operations of a visual design or production function, including coordinating workflow, addressing stakeholder requirements, and resolving issues in a dynamic, mission-driven environment (e.g., Intelligence Community or similar setting).
Specialized Experience for the GS-13 is one year (52 weeks) of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or equivalent, which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Responsibilities:
Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Work closely with OIA Intelligence Research Specialists to develop visual analytic solutions through analysis of complex quantitative data sets to illustrate patterns, relationships, trends, comparisons, exceptions and to illustrate analysis of abstract ideas
- Draft and coordinate internal procedures and policies to improve OIA communication initiatives
- Foster and manage IC counterpart relationships and committees to advance OIA's communications initiatives
