We are seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our team, with primary responsibilities in real estate law, including closings and related tasks.
Position Overview
The Legal Assistant will work closely with the attorney to manage the intake process, coordinate casework, and ensure the smooth execution of all assigned tasks. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the attorney in all aspects of real estate law matters, with a focus on real estate closings.
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, contracts, and closing packages.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and title companies to gather necessary documentation.
- Maintain case files and update case management systems.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and closing dates.
- Handle initial client intake, including collecting relevant information and documentation.
- Assist in drafting correspondence and legal forms.
- Track important deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide administrative support, including answering calls, responding to emails, and managing office correspondence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a law office, preferably in real estate law, is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of real estate transactions, closing processes, and related legal documentation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal case management software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and professionals in a courteous, professional manner.
- High School Diploma (Required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
