What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Laborer position at Terra Nova Garden Design?
We are hiring experienced Landscape workers for the 2026 season!
Duties
- Perform landscape activities including edging, mulching & weeding,
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, tree trimming, and shrubbery care to promote plant health and aesthetics
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, edging & weed-whacking.
- Assist with construction projects involving landscape installation.
- This job DOES NOT involve lawn mowing or lawn care.
- This work is primarily in Richland county. Employees will drive their own vehicle to the job sites.
- Employees must have their own reliable transportation.
- Starting pay is $20 - $23/hr.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment
- Prior experience or interest in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture preferred.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently in outdoor environments
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills in construction, landscaping, and maintenance tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $20.00 - $27.55 per hour
