Job Description:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for billing and accounts payable, maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; reconciling and posting transactions; assist the accounting manager to ensure legal requirements compliance of Terra Ferma Landscape Inc. Experience in construction industry is highly preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Matching/checking of AP invoices with PO and Packing Slips for accuracy and proper approval process.
- Enter customers payments into accounting databases.
- Matching of AP receipts (material purchase) and labor hours for billing.
- Maintain files for Accounts Payable in alphabetical order.
- Maintain files for customers invoices.
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and reconciling transactions.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepare and send invoices to customers, reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies. Compare contracts/estimates against billed amounts to customers,
- Obtain payment for vendor statements and payables
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
- Review spreadsheets / Job Progress Reports for accuracy
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed in a timely manner.
Job Qualifications:
· BS/BA in accounting or relevant field is preferred
· 5 years of professional experience in an accounting role
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
. Advance knowledge in in using excel spreadsheet.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices and contracts
· Ability to generate routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to speak effectively with customers, vendors or employees of the organization.
· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
· Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, word processing, accounting software such as QuickBooks, as well as communicate by e-mail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00 - $36.00 per hour
