Event Captain – Part-Time
Terminus 330, Atlanta’s premier event venue for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings, is seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Event Captain.
Responsibilities:
- Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of events from start to finish
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive relationship with the client, guests and vendors
- Manage event setup and takedown
- Maintain cleanliness of the venue (restrooms, seating, common areas)
- Collaborate with event planners and vendors to ensure smooth operations and coordinate the event logistics
- Ability to troubleshoot issues in real time
- Ensure safety of attendees and work with staff to resolve any issues
- Manage event staff and maintain a positive, productive work environment
- Address client’s concerns in an efficient, professional manner
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of event management experience with strong event management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
- Strong conflict management skills to deescalate tense situations and maintain a safe environment
- Hospitality mindset with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Conflict management skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
Schedule: 15-20 hours/week, weekdays, nights and weekends
Pay: $24-28/hour, based on experience
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
