Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic
Duties
- Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced and appealing meal options tailored to dietary requirements
- Prepare and cook food items using proper techniques, including slicing, chopping, and cooking methods
- Follow strict safety standards in food production, handling, and storage to ensure food safety compliance
- Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently and courteously to residents or customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, adhering to sanitation protocols at all times
- Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food with precision and care
- Support the dietary team in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Skilled in meal preparation, food handling, knife skills, slicing techniques, and general culinary tasks
- Experience with menu planning, food service, catering, and serving is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
