Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care by assisting with intake, vision measurement, and preliminary assessments including glasses measurement.
- Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Support clinical procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure safety.
- Operate opthalmic equipment and assist with vision tests, visual field testing, and ophthalmic photography.
- Manage medical records, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information.
- Assist front desk staff with medical records management, including filing, retrieval, and secure storage of sensitive documents.
- Qualifications
- At least 1 year of medical experience. Prior experience in medical office settings or ophthalmology clinics is a plus.
- Commitment and desire to provide caring and confidential patient care.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Good computer skills with Word; with Excel is a plus.
- Communicate well and work in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in operating ophthalmic equipment.
Pay: $14.50 - $20.00 per hour
