About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, caring, and professional Ophthalmic Technician or Medical Assistant to join our retina care team. No prior ophthalmology experience is required — we offer extensive training for the right candidate who is eager to grow a long-term career in healthcare.
This is a fast-paced, people-focused role ideal for someone who thrives on variety, is detail-oriented, and is passionate about patient care.
Responsibilities
· Greet and prepare patients for exams and procedures
· Record medical histories and update electronic health records (EHR)
· Perform diagnostic testing and assist with in-office procedures
· Support physicians during exams and treatments
· Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients
· Travel between clinics in Ashland, Medford, and Grants Pass as scheduled
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent (required)
· Associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
· Medical office, patient care, or customer service experience (preferred but not required)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Fast and accurate typing & basic computer proficiency
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Must be flexible and willing to travel to all clinic locations
· Background check required prior to employment
