Position Summary

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to support the day-to-day HR operations of our organization. This position plays an important role throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll support, compliance, and offboarding.

The HR Generalist will serve as a primary resource for employees and managers, helping ensure HR processes are handled accurately, consistently, confidentially, and in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the recruitment process, including creating and posting job openings, reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Prepare offer letters and coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks and other onboarding documentation.
  • Facilitate new-hire onboarding and orientation to ensure employees have a smooth and professional introduction to the organization.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HRIS and personnel filing systems.
  • Regularly review and audit employee records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefits, company policies, payroll questions, timekeeping, and general HR matters.
  • Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and employee questions.
  • Review, process, and verify employee timekeeping and payroll-related information as needed.
  • Support managers with employee relations matters, performance concerns, workplace issues, policy interpretation, and documentation.
  • Assist with progressive discipline, written warnings, performance improvement plans, and other corrective-action processes.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding, including termination documentation, exit interviews, benefits information, final paperwork, and the return of company property.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, policy updates, employee communications, and other HR projects as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information.
Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or similar human resources role.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR regulations, and human resources best practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar business applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Paycom is a plus.
  • Knowledge of California and Colorado employment and HR laws is a plus.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple states is preferred.
  • Previous experience with benefits administration, payroll support, employee relations, and recruiting is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or another HR certification is a plus.
