LOCATION: This is a hybrid position requiring regular in-office presence in Kansas City, MO.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking an CAD Manager, you will be responsible for providing the provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, maintenance, and standardized usage of CAD software. This individual will lead the creation and documentation of work processes, plus develop innovation within the organization, including workflow scripting (MLDs) and automation of data file conversion. They will implement new software, processes, and workflows to ensure the maximum possible performance of the design.
Job Functions:
- Manages a team of CAD technicians ensuring balanced workloads and delegates assignments.
- Improves, implements, and enforces CAD standards in regard to layering, dimensioning, text annotation, and other aspects of CAD usage.
- Improves and implements best practices and QA/QC procedures in CAD.
- Conducts research on new and emerging technologies that can beleveragedthrough existing CAD investments.
- Creates and recommends strategies for document management as it relates to both CAD and non-CAD user outputs, including collection, revision, and archiving.
- Provides technical support for CAD users.
- Installs, configures, andinitiatesCAD software, hardware, and other CAD-related IT assets,
- Works closely with IT operations in developing new strategies forleveragingexisting and future technologies.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Associate’s degree in CAD, or equivalent
- Experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of CAD software solutions
- Experience in BIM and Civil Engineering related CAD production
- High level knowledge of Bentley MicroStation; Bentley MicroStation certified, preferred
- Ability to complete multiple assignments successfully through effective multi-tasking and prioritizing
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a team or independently as needed
