CNC Programmer & CAD Drafter
Dimensional Stoneworks | Full-Time
Pay: $28–$35/hr (based on experience)
Dimensional Stoneworks, a leader in high-end granite, quartz, and solid surface fabrication since 1996, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer & CAD Drafter to support our growing production team. We specialize in complex, high-quality stonework and continuously reinvest in our equipment, technology, and people.
This combined role is ideal for someone who can confidently create precise shop drawings and program CNC equipment, including saw/jet and CNC stone routers. We value innovation, collaboration, and team-driven problem solving—and we welcome individuals who bring fresh ideas.
Key Responsibilities
CNC Programming
- Program jobs for saw/jet and CNC stone routers using company software (training provided).
- Interpret shop drawings to generate accurate and efficient toolpaths.
- Review programming for material optimization and fabrication accuracy.
- Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
CAD Drafting
- Create accurate 2D shop drawings and fabrication plans using AutoCAD (or AutoCAD LT).
- Prepare drawings based on field measurements, templates, project specifications, and rough sketches.
- Revise and update drawings as needed based on project updates and customer feedback.
- Maintain clear, organized documentation for all drawing and programming files.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, project managers, and fabrication staff to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
- Assist with technical problem-solving during layout, programming, and production.
- Help ensure project timelines and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Hands-on CNC programming or CNC machining experience (stone industry experience preferred, but not required).
- Ability to read, create, and understand shop drawings and technical documents.
- Knowledge of granite, quartz, marble, solid surface, or cabinet/architectural drafting is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Willingness to learn new software platforms and fabrication methods.
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Full-time, onsite.
