LOCATION: This position requires onsite presence 5 days a week at our project site in Many Farms, AZ. Navajo hiring preference policy applies. ABOUT THE JOB The Tepa Companies are seeking a Leadman to perform tasks involving physical labor at building, highway, and heavy construction projects, excavation, and demolition sites. May operate heavy equipment as required to complete project. The Leadman will schedule and supervise workers under their supervision and complete weekly timecards for their crew. Needs to be proficient with computers for time input, email and general correspondence with superiors. Job functions: Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Read and interprets plans, instructions, and specifications. Completes weekly timecards for personnel under their supervision. Orders materials and equipment necessary to complete project or tasks assigned to them. Other responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to: digging ditches, backfilling excavations, sealing structural components, measure and record areas, unloading and identifying materials, erecting and assembling equipment, pouring concrete. Identify and follow safe working procedures. Identify and stop unsafe work practices around jobsite that present imminent danger to others. Work with Superintendents and Foreman to complete assigned tasks.
