We are looking for a:
Accounting Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Enter data and support bookkeeping activities
- Generate reports in Excel to support administrative activities and bookkeeping
- Support the Accounting Department in the preparation of the monthly reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow using accounting software
- Perform A/R management: prepare and monitor invoices to the customers, manage payment reminders
- Perform A/P management: enter bills into the protocol book and the accounting system, monitor unpaid bills
- Update files in Excel to manage the adjusting journal entries for monthly financial statements
- Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences
- Reconcile records of bank transactions
- Exhibit polite and professional communication via e-mail, phone, mail and all company communication tools
- Provide administrative support to the Administration and Human Resources Departments and perform administrative work keeping administrative information confidential
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Support in preparing and processing payroll information and Administration/HR reports
Requirements:
- Associate degree or Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent education (including advanced accounting courses)
- Bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks Online
- Familiarity with accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets, experience in managing reports in Excel, including use of formulas and Data Tables
- Proficient in MS Office: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
- Attention to detail, analysis approach and problem solving skills
- Exceptional time management and strong written and verbal communication skills
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or administrative departments
